Lest We Forget…

George Mason at Delaware: 7:00 tipper on ESPNU.

Point to point to: Mason lost at Delaware last year, 73-68, in overtime. It was notable because the Patriots outplayed the Funky Blue Hens the entire game; however YouDee showed grit, never went away, and pulled the game out in the end.

But I think I see Ryan Pearson having one of those games that will elevate frosh of the year discussion. With Jim Ledsome having to defend Darryl Monroe, I’m not sure who checks Pearson. Louis Birdsong in the paint?

On the other side, Delaware is ridiculously dangerous. They can spread the floor as well as anybody in the league with that four-guard attack. For the same reasons Mason has an advantage with the basketball, Delaware has those advantages.

The difference is the supporting weaponry, and Mason will be shooting the ball much closer to the basket.

Mason 74, YouDee 66.
