More Work, More Coverage…

I’ll be cross-posting these all season long, and here is the first. If you think about Your Team playing so many road games to start the season, consider the fate of Greg Gary and his Centenary team. They play their first 15 games on the road, and don’t have a home opener until January 8.

Kyle Whelliston has added an element of editorial to his BB State website. If you are unaware, you should go check it out immediately. Heads up: you get five pages for free, and then you will be prompted to sign up for a subscription.

It speaks to you if you are a stat head. All of those funky tempo free stats and averages per 40 minutes and splits and player impact are there. You can lose a half-hour in less than 30 minutes. There’s all kinds of fun statistical nuggets and one uncovers the next one. But it is also well-grounded in the basics: schedules, standings, etc. that help you know your stuff.

Short version: it’s just better than all the other sites. I am honored to be a part of it.

Whelliston is also chatting on ESPN this afternoon from 3-5. Check it out.
