You Lose, and So Do I (Or What Used to Be Titled: Consider This the Under 4:00 Media Timeout of the Season…)

There was a dandy post all ready to roll. Had it all typed out and it was a goodie. Then, WordPress chose to re-log me in and poof!, it is nowhere to be found. I’m not getting my hour-or-so back, and I don’t have another hour-or-so.

Here’s the high level:

  1. JMU is playing horrid defense right now, allowing something like 11 opponents this year to shoot 50% or better and their past four opponents have shot 56% or better. Actual stat researched, typed, and lost.
  2. UNCW is leading the CAA in every category you can come up with to determine the means of acquiring points. FG%, FT%, etc. They are second in threes.
  3. VCU had 12 field goal attempts and 24 free throws in the second half last night.
  4. Hofstra has won six of nine and has a shot at 9-9. Look out for this team in the tourney.
  5. Frank Elegar and Jamal Shuler each took, and made, only four shots last night in their team’s games. Each played 36 minutes. Odd.
  6. The Tribe had three guys score 12 points and a fourth score 13. I was convinced W&M wins its first CAA tourney game 64-58, with eight guy scoring exactly eight points each.

There was some other stuff, too, but it isn’t worth it right now.

Tonight, we’ll play a game called “Let’s Say.”

Check the Conference only stats, more of an apples-to-apples comparison and see what you come up with.
