A Quick Pass At the Weekend

William & Mary at NC State: With 9:17 to go in the first half, I have a strong feeling The Tribe will be trailing NC State 20-19. After that, I’m less certain what will transpire. Final Score: NC State 76, Tribe 66.

Nor’Easter at Maryland: I’ve got a bad, bad feeling about this one. Nor’Easter is a bit road weary, Maryland played like garbage. The trends are setting up for a huge Maryland win. I hate that feeling, almost as much as I hate rooting against a player. In the case of Greivis Vasquez, the feeling exists. If he would go about 1-24 from the field and transfer to Duke, life would be good. Final score: Maryland 81, Nor’Easter 63.

VCU vs. Miami (FL): Another game of trends. Miami blew out Marist and will hit the beach laughing. VCU struggled past Houston and will watch tape not laughing. If Maynor makes more than one field goal, VCU wins more easily than expected. Final score: VCU 75, Miami 67.

Toledo at Old Dominion: Under no circumstances will Brandon Johnson let ODU lose this game. Kid has a fire. Besides, Blaine Taylor knows all about flying out west. (You figure it out.) Final Score: ODU 64, Toldeo 59.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY IN A FLASH

Delaware at Rider: Hens by six.

Manhattan at Hofstra: Pride by six.

JMU at Dartmouth: special note–who would think this game would be a payback game. Purple guys by about 18, garbage time notwithstanding.

Georgia State at Elon: Panthers by 10.

Dayton at George Mason: Mason by three.

ODU at Clemson: Tigers by three in 24 overtimes.

UNCW at Illinois State: Dub by three in 23 overtimes.

VCU vs. Arkansas: Hogs by five.
