A Morning Quickie…

I opened the local fishwrap (thanks Proff) this morning to read that George Mason’s Jesus Urbina has left the team to pursue a professional career in Spain. Urbina was likely slated for spot duty and has overcome a bevy of injuries during his career.

New and cool addition over at the CAA Zone is the Zone Show podcast. Check out the upper right of this page. Obviously it is very football-heavy now, but they are doing a great job. Bookmark it for the hoops season. Yeah, okay, they are in their fifth week so it isn’t exactly new. Lighten up, Francis.

There has been some discussion of how the choices were made for the cover of the special CAA Edition of The Sporting News college basketball preview issue.

Simple: the players were chosen because they are last season’s All CAA performers that are returning this year. The fact that those five should also be the preseason first team is both a coincidence and a bonus.

Yes, I guess I’ll begin tagging these posts. Keep in mind I won’t plan the tags any more than I plan what I’m writing, and that I’ll take the G: TB approach of half-serious, half-joking.
