Running to Stand Still

Quickie, as I have to get some work done and hit the road…

As promsied, we’ll start looking at tiebreaker scenarios. I’ll probably jump on this tomorrow, since Bracket Busters is lined up this weekend and whatever I write will be salient for more than 48 hours.

We’ll also begin a legitimate look at the CAAs at large chances and numbers next week. Tonight’s UNCW/HU game is H-U-G-E, as is the Mason/Wichita State game on Saturday.

Is it me, or did all of the sudden the national media decide the CAA could get a second bid? Classic under the radar…

The Slate, Abbreviated
James Madison at Nor’Easter: Huskies (This is just a talent gap.)
Fightin’ Nanas at William & Mary: Tribe (Road woes…)
Georgia St at Old Dominion: Monarchs (This, also, is just a talent gap.)
VCU at Towson: Rams (Gary Neal not expected to play.)
Drexel at George Mason: Patriots (Talent beats toughness.)
Hofstra at The Dub: Hoo-boy…everybody wants to talk about The Dub’s defense shutting down the Hofstra guard attack, but I see it the other way around. Adrian Uter cannot guard Todd Hendley 18 feet from the hoop. The Dub guts it out. UNCW 64, Hofstra 61.

  1. attending the game tonight in Wilmington?

  2. If the season ended today, ODU would have VCU in the quarters, possibly Mason in the semis, and most likely Hofstra in the finals. Ouch!!! I was at the game Saturday and ODU finally seems to be getting it. I’m sure Yeager would be stoked about a quarterfinal sellout for VCU-ODU.
