Scheduling and UNCW riffs aside, we have other news of note:

  • Andy Katz Opines that Drexel could have its hands full regarding its schedule, assuming the Dragons beat Sam Houston State tomorrow night. Sure Katz’s logistics are correct, but I’m betting Brusier Flint will find a way to like potential games against Duke and/or other major players.

BTW–Drexel fans are jacked up and a sellout at the DAC is likely Thursday. Although everyone is talking up national TV on the Deuce, the schedule for ESPN2 on ESPN.com will only commit to: “2005 NIT Season Tip-Off.” I’m not saying…I’m just saying…

  • Local Love for the CAAfrom the Norfolk paper, although it’s pretty vanilla.
  • Hofstra Beats Up on some poor, hometown schlub in its final exhibition game. And the HU BTW: you do not want to miss Loren Stokes.
  • James Madison Scores a victory over Bridgewater in its final tuneup as well. Dean Keener, though I expect having a long road, is going to bring JMU back to prominence. There’s too many great things about that school and is far too good a coach to see otherwise.
